  1. On 7 November, India commemorated the 135th birth anniversary of Dr. CV Raman, a renowned Indian physicist and Nobel laureate who is best known for his discovery of the Raman effect, a phenomenon in which light changes its wavelength when it interacts with matter.
  2. Saima Wazed, daughter of Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has been elected as the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Director for South-East Asia.
  3. Kerala has launched multi-language microsites to boost religious tourism.
  4. Bharat Botanics has announced that India’s largest cold oil production plant will be set up in Gujarat.
